Boston Public Library - The Catered Affair | The Wedding of Stacy + Brad

Stacy and Brad's wedding day began at the Fairmont Copley Plaza where Stacy and her bridesmaids got ready. The bride brought her fun and unique style into the wedding with her fabulous accessories that included a custom-made brooch bouquet and Valentino shoes.

From there it was a quick walk across the street in Copley Square to The Boston Public Library for the ceremony and reception.

Stacy and Brad exchanged their vows in the library's beautiful courtyard.

Following the ceremony, the newlyweds addressed their guests at cocktail hour from the Juliet Balcony.

We love that we had some time to take the couple and their wedding party to various locations both in and outside the building for a few formal photos.

The reception started with dinner in the Popular Reading Room, designed by

The Catered Affair.

Following dinner, guests were welcomed into the Map Room and Café for dancing where they were entertained by Soul City.

Before the end of the evening we took Stacy and Brad back out to the courtyard for a few more photos. The lighting and shimmer from the rain made for the perfect backdrop.

Hotel Marlowe | Cambridge Wedding of Emily + Sean

Earlier this month we had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Emily and Sean in the luxurious Hotel Marlowe in Cambridge.

When we asked the bride about the look and feel of her wedding she described it as “A celebration of “us” focused on an amazing New England day for all of our guests with a loving and whimsical atmosphere”.

After the first look and some fun formal photos with the wedding party, Emily and Sean headed inside the hotel for their Ketubah signing before walking down the isle.

The colors of the day were marine blue and lemonade yellow and which were incorporated in everything from the wedding party attire, beautiful floral and birch chuppah and ballroom décor.

Just one of the many reasons that the couple loved the Hotel Marlowe was that it is located right next to a public garden on The Charles River where their ceremony was held. Emily and Sean love that in the future, they can always go back to the spot together and relive their special day.

Thank you to Emily and Sean and all your friends and family for being such a delight to work with!  We had a great time capturing your beautiful wedding day.

Boston Real Wedding | The knot Boston | Liberty Hotel

What a thrill to see our photographs from Carissa & Andrews Liberty Hotel wedding grace the pages of the knot Boston. One of the top wedding resources filled to the brim with real weddings, inspiration and ideas!

A big thank you to our dear friend Chad Michael Peters for referring us to this lovely couple!

To see more images from Carissa and Andrews “Prisoner of Love” wedding and rehearsal dinner- click here.

 The details.....

The Reception: For a “red-hot reception,” the couple had bright red linens and seat cushions.

The Cake:The round windows and façade of The Liberty Hotel inspired the cake’s design.

The Escort Cards: Replicas of original jail keys from the venue were tagged to escort cards, which assigned guests to their cellblock numbers.

The Gown: Carissa wore a formfitting lace gown by Monique Lhuillier and added a matching lace bolero.

Their Wedding Style: To reflect the venue’s history (it’s a former jailhouse), Carissa and Andrew went with a “Prisoner of Love” theme, which they rounded out with a red, white and gold palette.

The Ceremony Décor: LED-lit pedestals topped with white flowers lined the aisle, while a chandelier with hanging votives created an ethereal atmosphere.

The Table Numbers: Each table was labeled with a different “cellblock” number.

The Signature Cocktail: The couple served a mix of prosecco, pineapple juice and St-Germain to toast their “golden future.”

The Place Settings: Menus embellished with Swarovski crystals and bright-red napkins rested atop clear and gold glass chargers.

The Bridal Style: For the reception, Carissa removed the bolero and accessorized with a crystal and feather hairpiece.

The Guest Book: Friends and family signed in and were fingerprinted- a fitting guest book idea.

The Bouquets: Carissa carried a white bouquet for the ceremony and switched to a red one for the couple’s grand entrance for the reception.
