Cape Cod Wedding Weekend of Lauren & Alex

The month of June kicked off for Person + Killian Photography with the three-day Cape Cod wedding extravaganza of Lauren and Alex. We are so excited to share some of the photos of this beautiful celebration.

The couple describe themselves as "Total city kids that grew up going to the Cape every summer and just could not imagine getting married anywhere else. We wanted to be in our favorite location but incorporate the dramatic and glamorous aspects of an urban wedding. We decided on pearl and sea glass blues and greens for our color palate to bring in the shades of the beach without being too literal."

We started with the wedding rehearsal dinner and welcome party at the Chatham Wayside Inn in downtown Chatham, MA. The bride and groom were joined by an intimate group of family and friends on a perfect Spring evening. After cocktail hour on the terrace everyone headed into the dining room for dinner and a few pre-wedding toasts.

The events of day two all took place at one of Cape Cod's luxury Oceanside wedding resort - the Wequassett Resort and Golf Club.

After Lauren and her bridal party finished getting ready in the Cape Villa it was off to the waterfront for the couple's "First Look". Pleasant Bay provided the perfect backdrop for all of the formal photos of both the couple and their wedding party prior to the ceremony.

One of the most fun elements of the whole weekend came with the personal touches the bride and groom put into all of the little details. We love that all guests were given sunglasses on their way down to the ceremony with a sign that said "You Might Be Blinded By Our Love"!

After a picture perfect ceremony it was off to the tent for cocktail hour. While guests relaxed and enjoyed hors' devours, they were encouraged to leave advise and well wishes for the newlyweds on Cape Cod postcards that were left in a vintage suitcase that matched the décor perfectly!

Lauren and Alex described the ceremony and cocktail hour as "bringing in the natural beauty of the Cape with blues and greens to complement the Wequassett's décor."

The main ballroom looked absolutely stunning and included custom-made white linens from Be Our Guest rentals and chandeliers, draping and lighting from Ormonde Productions.

Lauren described the inspiration for the reception as "Capturing the urban "wow" glamour with dramatic white on the tables and tall calla lilies in glass vases".

As a wedding favor, guests were given hand-painted aprons by Blue Water Fish Rubbings that included one of the couple's favorite recipes.

Day three of the weekend celebration continued when the guests traveled from Chatham down to Wellfleet to the Chequessett Yacht & Country Club for a post wedding brunch and clam bake.

The official "host" of the Clambake was the couple's pooch Tugg (a mini-poodle mix) who took a few moments to pose with the newlyweds for a few photos during the festivities.

Congratulations Lauren and Alex. It was an absolute pleasure capturing your beautiful wedding weekend. We had a blast!

Person + Killian 2011 Industry Party!

Every winter Person + Killian Photography has a party to say thank you to our incredible industry friends. It is our way of showing gratitude to everyone who puts their trust and support behind us and our work. We are so blessed to have met and worked with so many talented professionals and are truly grateful for the friendships we have made. We look forward to throwing this event each year and can’t thank everyone enough for being there!

Our “Winter Wonderland” event was produced & designed by the one and only Amy Kimball, who’s vision never fails to wow us! The party was hosted at the Boston Public Library and was filled with delicious food from The Catered Affair.  The beautiful floral arrangements were the signature touch of our dear and talented friend Chad Michael Peters and the night would not have been the same with out the collaboration of Port Lighting, Generations cinemastories, Stephanie Solomon (Rentals Unlimited), Larry Chan (Signs and Prints) and Kupah James who rocked the house !

A big thank you to The Catered Affair at the Boston Public Library and their entire staff for being such a pleasure to work with!

The photobooth is always one of our favorite highlights from the event!

Heather & Adrian's Jewish wedding at the Spring Valley Country Club Sharon Ma

A few years back Person + Killian Photography had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of a dear friend in the industry, Stephanie (Penn) Solomon. Since then, we have grown to absolutely adore her entire family! Not only are they sweet and loving, they are extremely fun and certainly know how to throw a lavish affair! So, when Steph’s little sister Heather got engaged, we knew her wedding to Adrian would be classic “Penn” style - lavish, lush, fun, and a blast to photograph!

Here are a few of our favorite moments from Heather & Adrain’s Jewish wedding at the lovely Spring Valley Country Club. When we asked Heather what the inspiration for her wedding was, she said, A 50’s super club filled with aubergine, silver, black & white colors.

It was great to work once again with the talented Tash Bracken of a SD Events who described this wedding as modern chic with the use of different chairs, tables and linens and the glow bar.  The arrangements were ultra-modern and edgy with the use of large cylinders as was the escort card table with mirror top.

A big thanks to the dynamic duo, Jack and Naomi of GENERATIONS cinemastories for always being a pleasure to work with!

Last but not least, thank you to the Penn’s for trusting us with another important moment in your lives. As always, it was a pleasure capturing these memories for you.
