George Hurrell Inspired Photography

 

Part of the joy for Person + Killian wedding photography is to capture the bride and grooms personality in their wedding photographs. Our March bride Mollie informed us that one of her favorite photographers is Hollywood master George Hurrell. Mollie wanted to mix things up with the amazing atmospheres that were part of her day, although it is not typical P+K style, we welcome a creative opportunity. The wedding took place at two architectural jewels nestled in Boston’s Back Bay. The ceremony was held at the Lindsey Chapel and the reception following in the Abbey Room at the Boston Public Library. Using the bridal couples preferred aesthetic Person + Killian were thrilled to take advantage of the amazing architecture as a backdrop for their wedding photographs.

We think that Mr. Hurrell would be proud and Mollie and Joshua have a collection of photographs that reflect their style.

At weddings people anxiously await their favorite part of the day – the bride as she steps into the aisle, the couple standing on the steps waving to the crowd as they leave the church, or the cutting of the cake. As wedding photographers, Person + Killian respect that the wedding day is full of tiny moments and special touches that when captured through their lenses reflect the complete celebration.

It is always Person + Killian's objective to capture the joy within the bride and groom.  Unlike some brides Shayna is accustomed to being photographed and facing cameras, we wanted insure her images captured the spontanous side to the couple.  In this moment we witness a private playful moment.
