Boston Public Garden Wedding Photography

Earlier this month, Person + Killian Photography had the pleasure of photographing a truly inspirational couple when they eloped in the Boston Public Garden with three of their closest friends. Louisa and Jeroen met back in 2007 while doing relief work in Uganda. Louisa at the time was working for AVSI (a non-governmental organization with the Italian NGO) and Jeroen for the International Red Cross. Over the past few years they have traveled together doing what they love all over the world including spending time in Sudan and the Congo.

The bride and groom decided on the Boston Public Garden for their intimate ceremony as Louisa is here finishing her Masters in International Affairs. Recently, she took a trip to NYC to visit her bridesmaid on a 3-day, whirlwind shopping spree for her wedding dress.

The final look for the wedding day was a combination of her gorgeous dress from Reiss, fabulous blue pumps by Miu Miu and a necklace that she picked up in Africa. The matching wedding bands were custom made in Marblehead, MA. The finishing touch was her white orchid bouquet from Winston Flowers.

After a few formal photos, the newlyweds and their wedding party all grabbed their cell phones to share the exciting news that they just got married. Within a few minutes calls were made to family members all over the world (everywhere from Seattle, WA to Switzerland)!

From the Public Garden it was off to nearby Via Matta on Park Plazza for some hors'devours and a toast to the happy couple on a beautiful afternoon.

Louisa and Jeroen plan to continue their work together in Africa and Eastern Europe and will make Athens, Greece their home town. We wish them a world of happiness and are so touched that we had the opportunity to meet them, their wonderful friends and to capture their special day.

Jess + Andrew Say "I Do!" at the Royal Sonesta in Cambridge

For newlyweds Jessica and Andrew, the planning started off perfectly when the then bride-to-be found her Kenneth Pool dress at last years local Brides Against Breast Cancer event. From there, all of the perfect details for their spring wedding at the Royal Sonesta, Cambridge fell right into place with the guidance of Janie Haas Event Consulting and the Royal Sonesta team.

Jess's vision and inspiration were a combination of a Frank Sinatra classic 1950's feel and pink blush cherry blossom branches with gun-metal gray accents that were incorporated throughout the wedding day.

The the initial first look took place on one of the outdoor patios overlooking the Charles River and Boston Skyline followed by some wedding party and family photos in several locations throughout the hotel.

After all of the formal photos, it was off to sign the Ketubah prior to the ballroom ceremony that took the guests breath away when they saw the gorgeous chuppah created with real cherry blossom branches and bark by the team at Winston Flowers with lighting by Suzanne B. Lowell Lighting Design.

After cocktail hour, the celebration continued for 250 guests as they made their way back into the ballroom for the reception. Jess and Andrew alongside their friends and family celebrated until the early hours of the morning with the continuous entertainment of Beantown.

Congratulations Jessica and Andrew and thank you for choosing Person + Killian Photography to capture your beautiful wedding day!
